FOLLOW YOUR PATH
Welcome!
Do you ever wish you knew which path to take to find happiness? Wouldn’t you like to have a path already carved out for you to improve your life? Life does not have to be difficult, but we sometimes choose the road with the most detours. We tend to forget that we control the decisions we make in our lives.
Feng Shui won’t provide a laid-out road for you. Instead, it will teach you to be in the here and now and listen to your feelings. Most of the time, we focus on our busy schedules and the long to-do list and ignore what is happening within and around us.
Although Feng Shui is associated with furniture rearrangement, it is much more than that. It is an ancient Chinese practice that has been around for more than 4,000 years. Feng Shui is about the flow of Ch’i life force energy. When Ch’i energy is blocked, we feel overwhelmed, and things don’t work out. However, when we unblock the stagnant energy, things begin to run smoothly in our lives. That is where Feng Shui comes in. It helps us identify the blocked areas and what to do to unblock the energy flow.
My goal is to make Feng Shui easy to understand and apply in our daily lives to create peace and harmony in our space. When applied correctly with an honest and positive intention, it will truly make a difference in your life.
Join me on this life improvement journey, which we can do in small steps. Let’s begin here and see what we can do to improve our lives using Feng Shui.
WHAT IS FENG SHUI?
The literal meaning of Feng Shui is “Wind and Water.” The wind moves the invisible Ch’i life force energy, and the water holds it. Thereby creating a balance, a harmony between these two elements. If the wind blows too fast and strong without anything to slow it down, the result would be disharmony.
Feng Shui is about the Ch’i life force energy that flows through every living thing on earth. Several names that share the same meaning describe the life force energy. You may have heard someone refer to the Qi, Ki, or Ch’i, all referring to the same energy that runs through and around us.
Feng Shui is also about balance and harmony in the world around us. For us to find happiness, there must be balance and harmony. An example of this perfect balance is the Yin and Yang. It is unique because they are two opposite elements, yet the two halves must come together to make a whole. Interesting, isn’t it?
In the book Feng Shui Your Life by Gil Hale, he wrote the perfect definition of Feng Shui.
“Feng Shui offers us the opportunity to achieve health, happiness and prosperity by living in harmony with our environment and taking control of our own space so that it becomes more balanced.”
Our journey will continue by exploring two important topics – 9 Key Areas of Your Life and Decluttering. See below for an overview of each section.
Nine Key Areas
We begin with the 9 Key Areas of Your Life. Each area plays a significant role in our lives, and when out of balance, we experience difficulties. The nine areas will be identified along with their corresponding color and the ‘cures’ that may be applied to bring about balance.
Think about which area you presently have issues in and begin the process there.
Declutter
Ch’i energy must flow uninterrupted through your home and surroundings to attract prosperity, peace, and harmony. However, clutter stagnates the Ch’i flow. This is why this topic is especially important in Feng Shui.
If decluttering scares you, take small steps. The key is to take the first step! It doesn’t have to be a huge step, but a step nonetheless.
